About Me

Me and Dad

Hello everyone!! Welcome to Live Life, Eat Right. My name is Nora and food and wine are my life.

My Food Perspective:

Family. Culture. Personal Well-being.

My interest in food is mainly derived from my commitment to family. Above all, they are the most important thing in my life. My earliest childhood memories surround food. I will never forget the chili my mom made every Halloween or the ritual Sunday brunches prepared by my dad (he still does this!).  Food is a gateway to bring people together. The best gift you can give to yourself and others is a thoughtful meal.

Eating is an experience. It can take you to cultures you’ve never been before. I enjoy traveling and sharing in the traditions of other societies. Unfortunately, I do not always have the means to physically travel to many of these places so I ‘travel through food’. I love to cook and I am passionate about discovering new dishes, products and genres of food every chance that I have.

What you eat truly affects the way you feel. I am dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle (don’t get me wrong, I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth. Ice Cream is my favorite food and I’m not afraid to indulge). Eating right and living life is all about balance. You are going to be miserable if you over exert yourself physically and deprive yourself of “bad foods”. My goal is to eat the foods I love, and share them with others.

Specific Interests:

Bread. Wine. Cheese.

During the summer of 2009 I worked in the bread department at my local grocery store. It opened my eyes to the world of cheese and I had an opportunity to work in the cheese department as well. My interest in wine was a natural progression. What is good bread and cheese with out a good wine? NOTHING. My dad opened my eyes to the world of wine and craft beers. Wine is an industry that fascinates me and I am constantly learning about. I also have to note that I have a special place in my heart for Finger Lakes wines, and they are heavily featured on my blog :) .

I hope this blog is helpful and FUN!

If you have feedback or want to know more about anything in the food world let me know! I would love to hear from you and as always, my email is LiveLifeEatRight@gmail.com

I love the balance you are bringing into your life of health and happiness. Not eating right sometimes and eating well others, but maintaining your body’s energy and stamina is so important. You clearly have a great zest for life and energy for trying new adventures!

    Dear Nora,
    Congratulations! Great Job! Keep Going!
I agree with you 100% I wish more people all over the world would show a greater interest and concern for “good food” and nutrition.
You do not need qualifications to have passion, belief and knowledge.
    You are proof of that!
I wish you all the very best in happiness and health.
    Kindest Regards,
    Dean Measor.
