Dining In

I love going to restaurants. Not only to experience new tastes and preparations that would be IMPOSSIBLE to duplicate in my home kitchen, but also for the atmosphere. Sometimes it’s fun to get dressed up, listen to loud music and bump elbows with complete strangers in a crowded dining room. I find camaraderie in that. On other nights, I enjoy dining in. And who says you can’t have four courses in the comfort of your own home?

Sourdough Baguette with Miticana De Oveja (Spanish Sheeps Milk…a favorite!)

Blood Orange and Caramelized Fennel Salad

I added a handful of fresh torn parsley to my mix of raddicio, baby spinach and arugula. I also thinly sliced shallot for a little bite. This was SUCH a beautiful flavor combination.

Seared Scallops on a Red Pepper Sauce. Green Beans in Truffle Oil wrapped with Scallion.

Frangipane Tart With Strawberries

The night just wouldn’t be complete without dessert. The last few bites of my Springtime tart were enjoyed.

Oh what a night!
