Let It Be Known

I put my “brave face” on this morning and left the camp I established in my room to face the mouse and find breakfast. I refused to let one little mouse prevent me from having a good breakfast!

Uncle Sam’s, Kashi Heart-to-Heart, Kashi Go-Lean Crunch, Vanilla Soy Milk, 1/2 of a Banana, handful of Blueberries, Cinnamon and Chia Seeds.

The mouse incident prevented me from making my beloved overnight oats. I thought about having raw oatmeal with yogurt instead, however; while I was checking my “breakfast shelf” for mouse nibbles (all ways okay, THANK GOODNESS!) I decided that I wanted cereal for breakfast.

Let it be known: I rarely have cereal because it never satisfies me in the same way as oatmeal. Every once in a while I have a craving. After I ate this bowl I went back for another handful of Kashi Go-Lean Crunch, Blackberries and soy milk.

New discovery: Blackberries soaked in vanilla soy milk= crazy deliciousness.

Annelies from Attune Foods sent me Uncle Sam Cereal to try a few weeks ago. I have been in the process of moving and didn’t have a chance to try it out until today. I loved that you could see the flax in the cereal. It reminded me of a toasted version of oatmeal. And you know how I feel about my oatmeal ;) . It wasn’t sugary or sweet, which I liked because I tend to add many sweet elements to my breakfast. I liked it with milk, however; I think this would be even more amazing as a yogurt topper with some fruit and honey! I can’t wait to eat more of this–THANKS ANNELIES!

Lunch: Almond Butter and Banana on Cinnamon Raisin Toast. Siggi’s Orange Ginger Yogurt. Dapple Dandy Plumcot. Carrot Sticks.

Let it be known: I started getting sick of gigantic salads for lunch. They take me a zillion years to finish and I think I am getting to be know as the “Crunchy Girl” in the office. Between my salads, Dr. Krackers, blue corn chips and apples I think I have earned this title.

After expressing interest in Plumcots, my co-worker brought me one yesterday! I was ecstatic. It was such a kind gift.  She said it still needed a day to ripen so I saved it for my lunch today.  Isn’t Dapple Dandy a clever name? I just really like to say it…Dapple Dandy, Dapple Dandy…okay I’m done.

In other news: I am seriously considering getting a cat after I move.

Nora

Sandwich with a side of fruit/veg or salad with a side of bread/crackers–What is your preference?

  1. I never have cereal with milk either because I think I would need 4 servings of it to fill me up! :P

I’m both a sandwich and salad girl. I can’t choose!

How cute…I’m sure I would earn that title if I ate at work too! I am so sorry about your mouse incident…we have had a roach incident that has left me terrified! I feel your pain!

  3. Mom says:

I hope that you reported the mouse to the landlord, but think of Ratatoulle!!!This could be your muse!! Love, Mom

  4. I usually order salads as a side or appetizer and rarely as an entrée. I’m not a huge salad person.
