Eleven

11-miles and I am dead. I can’t remember the last time I ran that distance. It felt great but I am already feeling it in my legs. Tomorrow will not be fun.I woke up early to eat a piece of 8-grain 3-seed toast with cinnamon, peanut butter and 1/2 of a banana and HYDRATE. This was a good choice for pre-run food. It was easy on my stomach and provided me with energy for the run.

I was running at the same pace as some man I have never met so he started talking….and talking and talking. He kept informing me of how many minutes we had been running for and how far we had run. He told me at the end we had actually run about 11.2 miles in 90-minutes. Having him by my side the entire way forced me to run a little bit faster than I normally would have. Not a bad thing but again….my legs are in pain.

After the run I drank approximately 14 cups of Gatorade and water and devoured the second half of my morning banana. I beat my dad to the kitchen and decided to try and replicate a “Daddy Omelet”. I failed miserably. I  overfilled it and did not let the egg properly coat the pan. WHOOPS.1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, lots of “pizza blend” cheese (mozzarella, provolone, cheddar, swiss), tomato, basil. mushrooms and left over green beans. 8-grain 3-seed toast with raspberry jam.

Even though it looks messy, it was delicious. I’m about to scour for more food. I can already feel myself growing hungry and I finished this about 30-minutes ago! Ah—the power of a long run.

NEED.MORE.FOOD.

Never Moving Again,

Nora

I bet you are going to be starving today….11 miles, wow! Even though omelets sometimes fall apart, they still end up tasting delicious.
