My dad told me: “I’ve been looking forward to this all day.” and “This is one of my all time favorite desserts.” Coming from the person I inherited my sweet tooth from…that’s kind of a big deal. If I had to pick a “signature dish”, Blueberry-Peach Crostata would probably be it. I started making this dessert a few summers ago when we had FAR too many peaches and blueberries from the Farmer’s Market. We didn’t know what to do with them all and were growing tired of crumbles. This was a fun new twist. Easy to make and a favorite to all.
In addition to dessert I also made a big side salad with bibb lettuce, red lettuce, baby roma tomatoes, cucumber, blue cheese, olive oil/balsamic/honey dressing. I finally broke in my beautiful MacKenzie Childs Bowl that I bought a few weekends ago.
Blue-Cheese Salad, Grilled Tenderloin Steak, Mixed Beans, Hermann J. Wiemer 2006 Cabernet Franc.
I love this wine for its cherry and leather notes. Perfect with this steak.
I’m relaxing for the rest of the evening with my television. SO satisfied
. I’m planning on participating in a 10-mile “hot feet” run in the morning. Hopefully I will survive to blog about it.
Cozy,
Nora
What is your “signature dish”?

Looks soooo good! Any chance we can get the recipe for your “signature dessert?”
My signature dish – sauteed scallops over cauliflower puree. My signature dessert – creme de menthe ice cream pie.
My signature dish is banana bread. I love making it for family functions!
Have fun on your run today!
What a delightful spread…I must say your dinner/dessert looked divine! My signature dish would have to be apple pie!
