On July 30, 2009 I wrote my first blog post. I was working in the bread department at my local grocery store, learning about cheese and discovering the world of wine. My first blog was appropriately named “Bread-Cheese-Wine.” My parents were my only readers. I had no idea what I was doing, or what my future would be but I knew that I HAD to be involved in the food and wine industry. I found something to be passionate and excited about every day. I wanted to share my discoveries, connect with people who shared my crazy cooking interest and learn new things. I can’t believe a year has passed. I feel so blessed.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my parents. They never doubted or questioned this crazy little blog. They have always supported my dreams—even the outlandish ones. I also wanted to thank all the food bloggers out there. I can honestly say that in one way or another every single blog I have read over the past year has had an impact on me. Whether it be the food or the thought, I appreciate and am inspired by all of the different food perspectives out there. Keep on doing what your doing!
More food, wine, single-girl thoughts and crazy stories tomorrow. I have some plans to celebrate my 1-year
so stay tuned!
